The Magic Nursery: Your First Ponystar!

The first time you log onto Ponystars, the Fairies will allow you to visit their Magic Nursery. In the Nursery, you may choose the biological parents of your Ponystar! Once you have selected the parents, the Fairies will use their Magic to help you create your first Ponystar This ponystar's features will be a magical a blend of Traits from the Father and the Mother you choose.

The Fairies allow you to create a unique Ponystar with a nearly infinite variation! If you really want a Ponystar of a specific kind or color, be careful to choose parents as close as possible to one another so that their off-spring is more predictible!

You may choose:
* The Breed: Select Air, Earth, Water, Fire, Feline or Love

* Body, Eyes and Mane Color: Click on the Color Selector below to adjust each Color Value.

Once you've chosen the Color Values, to create your first Ponystar, click on Create your pony!

Soon, you may have many wonderful Ponystars in your herd. The Fairies will let you have up to 75 Ponystars, if you care for them well, but this first Ponystar is special! The Fairies only grant ONE opportunity for you to visit the Magic Nursery freely. All your future Ponystars will be obtained from a Breeder or by Breeding with other Ponystars in the game.

All of the information about each of your Ponystars will appear in its own Ponystar Profile Page.

You should first give your Ponystar a great name instead of Unnamed! Just fill the name space and click on Name your Ponystar:

*Birth Date.
*Age: Your Ponystar matures after 10 days, when it becomes eligible for Breeding.
*Health: You want to keep your new friend Healthy, as close to 30/30 as possible!
*Level: This is linked to your pony's Experience and ranges from 1-51.
*Special Skills: Elegance, Speed, Magic.
*Challenges: The number of Challenges this Ponystar has won.
*Color Values for the Ponystar's Body, Eyes and Mane.

You may choose to add a Special Trait by clicking on "Add a Trait".

Below your Ponystar's picture, you can see the list of suggested daily actions available:

Grey-tinted icons indicate that you have not yet completed this task for the day. If you log out without performing these tasks to care for your Ponystar, your new friend may lose Health Points during the daily update.

* Feeding: Your Ponystar must be fed every day or Health Points may be lost! Each Breed of Ponystar needs a different kind of Feed. To buy Feed, visit the Marketplace available from the Ponystar Menu, always at the left of your screen.

*Brushing and Mucking Out: These actions are also required daily to maintain your Ponystar's Health. A Special Brush, unique to your pony's needs, is required, according to breed. All the Ponystars use the same Hoof Pick Tool for Mucking Out the hooves. The Brushes and Hoof Pick Tools are also available at the Marketplace.

* Healing: A perfectly-Healthy Ponystar has 30/30 Health. Your Ponystar may lose Health Points naturally, either through rigorous Training (see below), or due to missed daily care.

You can ask the Fairies to Heal your Ponystar from the Ponystar Profile Page. You must show the Fairies your gratitude for their Healing service by giving them a little Fairy Gold. Each Healing will add ONE health Point to your Ponystar.

You may ask for Healing as often as you like each day, but each time you do, the Fairies take a little more Fairy Gold for the service. If you take good care of your Ponystars consistently, you won't need to spend very much Fairy Gold to keep them in top condition.

Can my Ponystar die?

No, your Ponystar can not die.

What do the Levels mean?

Every Ponystar is born with a Skill Point to assign. You may then choose to Level Up in one of the following Special Skills: Elegance, Speed or Magic. When your Ponystar earns the chance to Level Up, you may add ONE Skill Point in one of these Special Skills. These Skill Points are used to determine the Breeding Price of your Ponystar and for matching skills in Challenges, and Tournaments and Games like Ponystar Black Jack and Super-Flash.

How does my Ponystar advance in Levels?

To start, your Ponystar has no Experience Points: 0/100. Training your Ponystar will earn some Experience Points. Careful, though! Training is tough work. Your Ponystar's Health should be closely watched during Training to make sure too many Health Points are not lost. When you reach 100/100 Experience Points, the Fairies will automatically Level Up your Ponystar and your Experience will be reset to 0/100.

What's a Challenge and how do I make one?

A Challenge is when you put your Ponystar into competition one-on-one against another Ponystar, either one of your friend's ponies, or a Ponystar belonging to another player. Every Ponystar can launch up to 100 Challenges each day. Challenges are automatically accepted by your opponents, as long as your Ponystar's Level matches yours somewhat closely. Only victories are counted, so there is no risk in Challenging other Ponystars; your Ponystar cannot lose Health Points, but you must Challenge only Ponystars at a similar Level! Play fair and everyone wins!

To Challenge a Ponystar, go to another player's Ponystar Profile Page and choose Challenge. You may select the number of Challenges to make at once, up to 20. Your results will be displayed after you click, Challenge. To find other Ponystars to Challenge, watch the Last Connected list or Platforms, or on the Discussion Board.

What other fun activities can be found in Fairy Valley?

Tournaments

Tournaments are organised by Skill Category: Elegance, Speed and Magic. The results have no impact on your Ponystar's Health Points. Registration cost per Ponystar is 10 Fairy Gold, and if your Ponystar does well, you may earn Fairy Gold. Tournaments happen at night and Top Players are rewarded with Fairy Gold. You can check your results on your Ponystar Journal to see how your Ponystars fared in the most recent Tournament. The more Ponystars entered in each day's Tournament, the more Fairy Gold there is to share among the winners!

If your Ponystar finishes in the Tournament Top 10, that Ponystar will not be able to register for the Tournament for a few days. This way, other Ponystars get the chance to shine!

Quests

Completing Quests makes your Ponystar eligible for the Top Quest Platform. Simply fulfill the instructions for the Quest and you will earn ONE Quest Point, per fulfilled Quest.

The Breeder

If you want to add Ponystars to your Paddocks, you may visit the Breeder to see the Ponystars that are available. Every day, the Breeder sells a myriad of unique Ponystars. Check to see what's available! You may find rarities and unusual new friends! The Breeder sells his Ponystars for the amount of Fairy Gold indicated below each Ponystar listing.

Make sure you have enough room in your Paddocks for the Breed of Pony you wish to buy before you click, or you might miss out on the chance to buy the Ponystar you want!

Paddocks

Each kind of Ponystar needs a particular type of fence or Paddock. Naturally, a Fire Ponystar wouldn't be well-kept in an Aquatic Paddock, nor would an Air Ponystar be secure in an Earth Ponystar Paddock.

Here we see that the Air Paddock is already full: 1/1. So, before buying an other Air Ponystar, I need to add another space to my Air Paddocks by clicking on the small "+". This action costs 800 Fairy Gold.

Platforms

You and your Ponystars can compete for three different tiered rankings: Best Breeders, Top Quest Platform, and Best Challengers. A gift will be awarded to Top Player on each of these Platforms.

Fairy Gold: the virtual money for Ponystars

You start the game with 1600 Fairy Gold. Fairy Gold is the only way to Train your Ponystar, to Heal your friend, or to buy all necessary items needed for daily care and feeding.

You earn Fairy Gold every day in the Daily Update which will occurs upon your first connection each day.

You earn 200 Fairy Gold per day, plus 150 Fairy Gold for each Ponystar you own. Each Class Status -- Flint, Quartz, Amber, Sapphire, Ruby and Diamond, in that order brings you 50 more Fairy Gold.

Breeding

When your Ponystar becomes a Stallion (male) or a Mare (female) after 10 days, you may start Breeding activity.

To start Breeding, you need to find another Ponystar as a mate for yours. Make sure you Ponystar is in good Health before you begin.

IF YOU BREED A STALLION: Your Ponystar Stallion must be available on the "Stallion List". You must wait for a Breeding Request from a Mare. If you accept a request from a Mare, you will receive Fairy Gold for mating your Ponystar Stallion. Once mated, your Ponystar Stallion will be unavailable for Breeding for 7 days. Once the baby Ponystar is born, he or she stays with its mother, but his or her image will always appear on your Ponystar Stallion's Profile Page under "Lineage.".

IF YOU BREED A MARE: Your Ponystar Mare must make Breeding Requests from the Ponystar Stallions on the Stallion List. You will pay the Owner of the Stallion the amount of Fairy Gold indicated on the Stallion List. The Breeding Price depends on the Stallion's Skills. The Fairies handle the fee for you automatically. As the Owner of the Ponystar Mare, you will keep the Baby Ponystar as your own! Make sure you have enough room in your Paddocks to welcome your new friend. The Baby Ponystar's image will always appear on your Mare's Ponystar Profile Page under Lineage.

You may also breed between your own Ponystars.

REMEMBER! For Breeding Activity, both the Mare and the Stallion must be Healthy !

How long before you have a new Baby Ponystar?

The Gestation Time is a secret!

The Baby Ponystar will appear in the Nursery after it is born. You have only THREE DAYS to claim the Baby.

BEWARE: If you leave your Baby Ponystar alone in the Nursery for over three days, the Fairies will be upset! They may take your Baby Ponystar to be sure it is better cared for. Your Ponystar will simply disappear, and your spent Fairy Gold with it.

What is the Gem Class?

Your Gem Class represents your involvment in the game. For more details, check out the Gem Class Page. Click on the Gem Class at the top of the page. Gem Class Status gives you advantages and access to the rarest Special Traits for your Ponystars!

 

Special Traits:

Numerous Special Traits are available. Access to some depends on your Gem Class, others can be bought at the Marketplace, and others are available for purchase exclusively from the Bank. Check out the Marketplace to find an array of Special Traits to add beauty and uniqueness to your Ponystar. Keep an eye out for exciting New Traits, and special Seasonal Traits!

In addition to added beauty, Special Traits make your Ponystar more valuable for Breeding..

Four Kinds of Special Traits:

The "Coat" allows you to add stripes and other special markings to your Ponystar's hide.

"Hooves" are a great accent! Choose from colors and seasonal themes.

The "Mane" is one of the most bold and beautiful Ponystar features! You will find a wonderful selection of colorful and glittery options from which to choose.

The "Branding Mark" is a subtle, cool accent for your Ponystar. Very hip!
